The College

The primary objective of the college is to produce basic doctors who are well versed in all aspects of preventive and curative care. However, over the years, the college has quickly made its place as a prime institution of medical education and research in Delhi. It now is housed in a nice campus located in eastern (trans-Yamuna) part of the city.

The college made a humble beginning in the year 1971 but now has all the major departments for basic, para-clinical and clinical subjects. The facilities are better than most medical colleges in India. The students have performed consistently well. The faculty is well represented in various national and international fora. Workshops, CME programmes, symposia, seminars and conferances are regularly hosted. Consultancy services to national and international bodies such as DST, UGC, ICMR, CSIR, DBT, DGS, WHO, DANIDA and UNICEF are provided. Large number of research projects sponsored by various national and international agencies are conducted.
