Medical History
The physician looks for certain points in the medical history of the prospective donor and decides on whether he/she is
a. temporarily unfit for blood donation.
b. permanently unfit for blood donation.
c. fit for blood donation.
the criteria which help the physician decide are as follows:
a. Criteria for Temporary Donor Deferral (ie. those who can't donate blood for the time being)
b. Criteria for Permanent Donor Deferral (ie. those who can (and should) never donate blood)
the people who do not fall under `a.' or `b.' are considered...
c. ie. fit for donation provided they comply with the required standards of physical fitness for blood donation
